Equal Opportunity Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell of Shyama Basant Mahavidyalaya is committed to promoting an inclusive, equitable, and supportive academic environment for all students and members of the college community. The Cell works to ensure that every individual receives equal opportunities in education, academic development, extracurricular activities, and other institutional facilities without discrimination.
The Cell creates awareness among students and staff regarding equality, social justice, human dignity, and the importance of respecting diversity. It also encourages students from disadvantaged and underrepresented sections of society to participate actively in academic and co-curricular activities and to make full use of the opportunities and facilities available in the college.
The Equal Opportunity Cell also addresses concerns related to discrimination or unequal treatment and provides appropriate guidance and support to students. Through awareness programmes, counselling, seminars, and other activities, the Cell strives to build a positive campus environment based on equality, fairness, respect, dignity, and inclusiveness.
The college believes that equal opportunity is essential for the overall development of students and for creating a socially responsible and harmonious educational community. The Equal Opportunity Cell therefore continues to work towards ensuring that every student gets a fair chance to learn, grow, and achieve their academic and personal goals.
